Welcome New Roadrunners!

We are excited to welcome you to the Butte College community! During Orientation, you'll explore campus, connect with the financial aid team, meet with an academic counselor, and register for classes. Orientation is all about setting you up for a successful start at Butte College! 

Who needs to complete orientation?

All new students are required to complete Orientation. You will have an orientation hold that will prevent you from registering until you complete Orientation.  

** You may be exempt from Orientation if you meet specific circumstances listed here (including K-12 students, students enrolling in 6 units or less, and student enrolling in specific courses).  

What do i need to do before orientation?

Before attending Orientation, ensure you have:

1. Completed a Butte College Application.
2. Received your student ID number, student email address, and password. This information was emailed to you after applying to Butte College. If you did not receive an email with your username and password, call Student Tech Support at (530) 895-2925 or email StudentTechSupport@eraglobe.com. You will need your Butte College Student ID to register for Orientation).
3. Accessed your Butte College Portal - Self-Service.

HOW do i COMPLETE ORIENTATION?

Registration for in-person Orientations will open March 24, 2025 for students starting Summer or Fall 2025.

If you’ve attended or earned a degree from another school, you might qualify for Online Orientation. Got personal circumstances that make it hard to attend in person? You could be eligible too! Fill out the Online Orientation Request Form to find out if you qualify.

Can i bring someone with me to orientation?

Yes! We offer a separate session for parents, guardians, and supporters during Orientation. When registering for In-Person Orientation, please indicate the number of guests you plan to bring. We look forward to seeing you and your support team there!
